As an expressionist painter, my work attempts to capture the magic and beauty of the coastal landscape I call home. Visualizing distinctive figures and gently surreal landscapes, my paintings invite you to stop, take a closer look, and then smile.
Naturally inspired by the surreal landscape of the coastal Lowcountry and nearby highlands, my paintings blend serene realism with surreal elements and whimsy. My art explores themes of love, inner peace, and nostalgia, using bold brushstrokes, bright colors, and meaningful symbols to create visually striking and emotionally engaging images.
I view storytelling as an integral part of my creative process, using narrative themes to bring paintings to life in new and compelling ways. My journey continues to be fueled by an urgent need to create; painting is not simply a choice but a vital necessity.
My paintings are more than decorative pieces; they are statements that enhance the space they occupy with peacefulness and calm while commanding a presence.
